The house was founded by Savile Row-trained tailors Thom Whiddett and Luke Sweeney.
They met in 2003 at Timothy Everest, one of the most influential tailors of the day, when Thom was Head Cutter and Luke managed the house's made-to-measure service.
Soon after they started working together, they decided to go their own way. Fifteen years later, Thom Sweeney is a leading British luxury brand with an international reputation and clientele; renowned for understanding how men dress today.
We take pride in dressing our customers from Monday through to Sunday; from the boardroom to relaxed weekends at home.

Our History
Initially, Thom and Luke set up ‘shop’ in a room in London’s Mayfair, where they took private orders. The first Thom Sweeney store opened in 2009, on the site of a former gallery on nearby Weighhouse Street. Thom and Luke launched their first ready-to-wear collection on Mr Porter in 2013, and a second retail store focused on ready-to-wear and made-to-measure tailoring opened in Mayfair in 2014. The brand’s New York outpost followed suit in 2017.
Today, Thom Sweeney’s London home is a four-storey townhouse on Old Burlington Street, a luxurious space that combines a ready-to-wear store with workrooms for our team of bespoke tailors, and offers clients a home from home in which to relax, socialise and order clothes, complete with a clubroom and barbershop.

Thom Sweeney opens a second London store on Bruton Place in the West End.

The Big Apple
The brand opens its second store, lounge and tailoring studio in Soho, New York City.

The Townhouse
